Uvaria chamae from the family Annonaceae has wide medicinal application which includes its use febrifuge an anti-inflammatory.Objective: The study was aimed at developing some Pharmacognostic standards for leaves U. chamae.Material Methods: plant collected, identified authenticated. Fresh were examined macroscopically microscopically based on standard procedures. Fluorescence behavior assessed by adding various reagents viewing daylight, 254 nm 365 nm. Chemomicroscopy physicochemical analysis powdered samples done using Phytochemical Thin layer chromatographic extracts also carried out.Results: Leaves are alternately arranged elliptic shape. abaxial surface straight polygonal epidermal cells with paracytic stomata. Vascular bundles fan shape transverse section leaf. Chemomicroscopic evaluation revealed presence lignin, starch oil. Alcohol water soluble extractive values 4.00 ± 0.00 5.6 0.67, respectively. membrane stabilization activity 0-1 mg exceeded that drug diclofenac. ethyl acetate fraction had highest percentage inhibition haemolysis 0.4 mg.Conclusion: features established this may contribute identification chamae.
